Welcome

Welcome to the official website of the Former International Professionals of Multilateral Organizations (FIPMO), Nepal. FIPMO is an independent, apolitical, and non-governmental organization established by distinguished former professionals who served in the United Nations system, the World Bank, regional development banks, and other leading multilateral institutions. United by a shared commitment to Nepal's progress, these professionals bring decades of international experience, technical expertise, and policy knowledge to support the country's sustainable development.
The idea of FIPMO was conceived in February 2014 when more than fifty former international professionals came together with a common vision of creating a platform where their collective expertise could continue to benefit Nepal and its people. Recognizing the value of their global exposure and professional experience, they sought to establish an organization that would contribute to national development through knowledge sharing, policy dialogue, advocacy, mentoring, and collaboration with public, private, and development partners.
The organization's statute was formally adopted and signed during a General Meeting held in January 2015, marking an important milestone in transforming the shared vision into a structured institution. An Executive Committee was subsequently elected to oversee the registration process and guide the organization's initial development. FIPMO was officially registered as an apolitical non-governmental organization with the District Administration Office on 17 February 2016 (05 Falgun 2072).
Today, FIPMO serves as a respected network of experienced professionals dedicated to promoting sustainable development, good governance, social inclusion, and capacity building in Nepal. Through research, policy recommendations, knowledge exchange, community initiatives, and partnerships, FIPMO continues to contribute its members' expertise toward building a more prosperous, resilient, and inclusive Nepal for present and future generations.
