A talk program jointly organized by AFCAN, CDD & FIPMO on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Implications for Nepal
AFCAN, CDD, and FIPMO jointly organized a high-level seminar on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Implications for Nepal” at Royal Tulip, Gwarko on 7 Dec 2025.
The program brought together senior government officials, experts, and representatives from the development and policy sector to discuss the growing role of AI in shaping Nepal’s future across key sectors including education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic development.
The event featured distinguished participation from Mr. Amrit Bahadur Rai, Foreign Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Government of Nepal, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Suresh Manandhar, CEO/Chief Scientist and Co-founder of Wiseyak and Honorary Professor of AI at Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology, as the Keynote Speaker.
Discussions highlighted both the opportunities and challenges of Artificial Intelligence, including its potential for commercial growth, innovation, and sectoral transformation, as well as the importance of responsible and safe use of AI technologies.
Representatives from AFCAN, CDD, and FIPMO shared their perspectives, emphasizing collaboration and knowledge exchange among institutions to better prepare Nepal for the evolving digital and AI landscape.
This joint initiative reflected the shared commitment of the three organizations toward advancing informed dialogue on emerging technologies and their national impact.
