Seminar on Strategies for a Dynamic, Effective and Development-Oriented Foreign Policy organised by AFCAN, AFNA & FIPMO

AFCAN, AFNA, and FIPMO jointly organized a seminar on “Strategies for a Dynamic, Effective and Development-Oriented Foreign Policy” at Ryne Event, Gaushala, Kathmandu.

The program brought together diplomats, scholars, and policy experts to reflect on Nepal’s foreign policy direction and its relevance in a rapidly changing global context. Discussions focused on strengthening Nepal’s diplomatic engagement, enhancing policy effectiveness, and aligning foreign policy with national development priorities.

The keynote address was delivered by Amb. Dr. Bhekh Bahadur Thapa, Former Foreign and Finance Minister of Nepal, who shared valuable insights on Nepal’s foreign policy evolution and future challenges.

The session included expert commentary from Prof. Dr. Meena Baidya Malla and Amb. Dr. Shambhu Ram Simkhada, who provided analytical perspectives on contemporary diplomatic issues and policy coherence.

The program was moderated by Amb. Bhim Udas, and concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Bhairaja Panday, Chairperson of FIPMO.

The event was followed by an interactive Q&A session and a networking luncheon, allowing participants to further engage in meaningful discussions.

This joint initiative reflected the continued collaboration among AFCAN, AFNA, and FIPMO in fostering informed dialogue on foreign policy and national development.
