Education specialist with 20+ years of leadership across Asia and the Pacific, advancing inclusive education, policy reform, and education in emergencies. I have led large‑scale national programmes with UNICEF, Danida, MS Denmark, and LWF, strengthening systems for out‑of‑school children, children with disabilities, and marginalized communities. My expertise spans Sector Wide Approach (SWAp) Donors, Government and CSO coordination, institutionalization of Early Childhood Education and Develop,ent (ECED), evidence‑based planning, and multi‑donor engagement with ADB, EU, DFID, GPE, and the World Bank. Experience
I have worked across Nepal, Bangladesh, Papua New Guinea, Laos, and Cambodia, leading national education programmes that strengthened systems, expanded inclusive access, and improved learning outcomes in both humanitarian and development contexts. My roles with UNICEF, Danida, MS Denmark, and LWF focused on supporting governments to design, implement, and monitor evidence‑based education policies and sector plans. I have coordinated multi‑donor Sector‑Wide Approaches (SWAp), leading sector analyses, joint reviews, and policy dialogue with ministries and development partners including ADB, EU, DFID, GPE, the World Bank, and Nordic agencies. In Nepal, I contributed to the School Sector Reform Plan and supported advocacy that led to the constitutional recognition of Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED). In humanitarian settings, I have led Education in Emergencies (EiE) coordination at national and subnational levels, ensuring alignment between government, UN agencies, and NGOs. In Bangladesh, I coordinated the national Education Cluster and supported the Rohingya refugee response, strengthening systems for inclusive learning, teacher support, and monitoring. In Papua New Guinea, I contributed to major reforms including the Inclusive Education Policy, revision of the Education Act, and development of the National Literacy Policy, while supporting national research on out‑of‑school children. My experience includes capacity development, DRR and post‑disaster planning, quality assurance, community‑based education, and management of multi‑year donor‑funded programmes. Across all roles, I bring a strong commitment to equity, systems strengthening, and collaborative leadership that enables governments and partners to deliver sustainable, inclusive education services.
